Gabe Jones, founder and leader of Fresh Fruit, is a drummer, composer, arranger, educator, and producer from Cleveland, Ohio. Drawing from fresh vines and new perspectives on music’s past and present, Fresh Fruit’s sound is inspired by jazz-influenced rhythm and harmony, hip hop, funk, traditional gospel, and R&B. Expanding and replenishing the gifts of our ancestors while reaping the fruits of our labor, the group builds on the path that allows us to fly and create without limitation.
